I have just discovered Babble’s celebrity mom section and love reading up on some of these moms I actually see at the park or pass on the street. Straight up the street from our new pad is the iconic front lawn of Beverly High of 90210. I was delighted to see an interview with Jennie Garth on Babble and find that a day in the life of her household is a lot like mine. I also hadn’t connected the dots that her husband Peter is that HOT guy in Nurse Jackie and the Twilight movies. Their three girls have some charmed DNA!
The Critter and I spent a fun Friday evening with one of my bff’s, aka Aunt Asha. Asha has a lovely home in the hills overlooking the city with a gigantic avocado tree. She gave me an entire grocery bag full of the fruit and they are like butter.
According to eekOWorld, it’s World Water Day, too. I conserved water today by not watering the plants or brushing my teeth. It was more fun to play with a ball of string and the Critter and Louis xiv.

Ellen Greene! I was so excited to see her because she was one of the most admired successes to the theatre crowd when I was in college at Millsaps. At the time she was starring in Little Shop of Horrors the movie AND the film; which to us theatre geeks was somewhere on the level of goddess. I can’t wait to tell my alum friends! By the way, she couldn’t have been nicer and left me to be excited about meeting the original Audrey. Now that I’ve done a little more homework, I’m finding that not only has she recently played Vivian Charles in the Emmy award winning Pushing Daisies, but also in the enormously successful Heroes. She is a very tiny and pretty in person, had on a fierce black leather rocker jacket, spoke with that great voice, and in spite of the very bad camera skills of the photographer is a seriously hot 59 year old 😉
It seemed charming to keep the vintage GE ovens from 1975 until about an hour ago. The previous owner still had all the pans and rotisserie acoutrements, and I hoped they would continue to plug away, just like my Aunt Sylvia’s are. I’m happy to report that the black smoke billowing out of the upper oven did not cause damage or harm. I would never have mentioned it, but for my desire to tell you how HOT the BHFD is! Captain Wilson and crew responded quickly and calmly, male and female, all gorgeous enough to be movie stars! Thanks guys!
…in spite of having been given peanut butter treats managed to abscond from a tray and devour a foot long turkey sandwich from Subway. In the amount of time it took for me to answer the door he obliterated the Critter’s and my lunch! B@*#ard!
This is a terrific video explaining the insane festival of St Paddy’s Day that happens in my home town every year. As you also know, I have been posting a lot about children’s television programming lately, and this coincides with the Jim Henson exhibit at the Mississippi Museum of Art. Kermit was the co Grand Marshall of the parade this year!
